No Wheels 4 the Neon

I have 215/50R17 for my 1995 Plymouth Neon 4dr sdn. The do not fit under the Start base. I can get the Front tires on but they rub. The back will not go on at all. I need to get spacers but I am not sure how far out I need to place the tires. Especially in the rear. And then I know because of the Added weight and the change of the center of gravity, I need to beef up the suspension. any *assistance would be Phenomenal!  Thanks   “JC”

Spacers will not help your situation. . You need to get smaller tires. That is wayyyyyyyyy to big of a tire on that vehicle.

Tou might get by with 205/40/17 tires. These are the correct diameter but their extra width if placed on a rim with the same offset as the stock ones make the tires stick in an extra .4 inches and outward another .4 inches. I had this size on a 98 Neon and the rears BARELY cleared the lower control arms if tape wts were used, the clip ons added just enough metal from their clips that the wts ould hit the lower control arms…a thin spacer still might be needed.
